The Blade 18 is also the first laptop to have a Thunderbolt 5 connector, which could achieve speeds of up to 120 Gbps. There aren't many Thunderbolt 5 docks and accessories now, but it's one of the things that makes it a great choice for connecting and using it in the future as a high-power desktop dock.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G14

There is no such thing as the 2024 Asus ROG Strix Scar 18. It has a big 18-inch Mini LED screen with 2560 x 1600 pixels that can get up to 500 nits of brightness in normal use. In HDR mode, it can get up to 1,100 nits of brightness. It is so bright that when I watched HDR footage of fireworks and sparks, it looked like the lights were flickering right in front of my face. It has the same amount of power as the Razer Blade 18, however it doesn't feature the Thunderbolt 5 port or the slightly lower 240 Hz refresh rate. It also works with a lot of different connections, so you might not need a USB hub. It is one of the biggest and heaviest laptops we've ever used (it weighs 2.5 kg), yet it can comfortably run many of our favorite games. It starts at $1,250 and comes with a GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, and 16 GB of RAM.
